Movers in Clio, MI

Clio is a small town on the far north end of the county, a real rural drive up from Flint. We route it in and start early so the miles don't stretch your move day out.

Budget Moving crew loading boxes into the moving truck in Flint

A real mover answers, every time

Dial the yard and it is Curtis on the line, or one of the crew who actually rides the trucks — no phone tree, no scripted call center. Walk us through what makes your move tricky — a turning staircase in an older Carriage Town bungalow, a Grand Blanc basement that has to come up flight by flight, the long rural pull out to Goodrich — and we have the whole day mapped before your date lands.

The number is locked before we lift a thing

We walk your rooms one by one, fold the wardrobe boxes, pads, dollies and shrink-wrap straight into that figure, and hand it to you in writing — so once the truck is in your driveway, nothing new ever shows up on the tab. That is what Budget stands for here: an honest up-front price, not a rental-depot counter.

Box the whole house or just the breakables

Give us the kitchen for dish barrels, let closets ride across on the hanger in wardrobe cartons, or simply flag the mirrors, flat-screens and glass tabletops — those we build a fitted crate around for the road. Your call on how much we handle.

The same crew, front door to front door

Whoever sizes up your rooms at the estimate is the crew chief steering the truck and doing the final walkthrough with you — a Davison ranch, a Flushing two-story, a third-floor place near UM-Flint, the job never gets handed off partway.

Clio is one of our longer runs, up north past Mt. Morris where the roads turn rural and the town thins out. The homes are a mix of older houses and newer builds on bigger lots. The drive is the part we plan around — Wes maps the route up US-23 and I-75 and Darnell starts the crew early so the miles don’t eat the clock.

  • $119/hr for two movers and a truck, $169/hr for three, one-hour minimum
  • Drive time quoted up front, often as a flat written price
  • Attic and basement loads worked with dollies and straps both ways

Send the office your date and address and we will fold the route into a written estimate.

Moving to Clio — common questions

Clio's a long way north — how do you price the drive?
Wes folds the drive into the estimate from the outset, and for a haul this far north the norm is a flat written price rather than running the hourly clock. The whole figure is settled before we load, so the mileage never becomes a surprise.
We're closing on the new place in spring but have to be out now — can you store our things over winter?
Yes. Your belongings sit in a clean, secured space through the wait — a few weeks or the whole winter — and come back the day you choose. We bridge the gap between closings all the time.
Our Clio house has a full basement to clear — do you handle that?
We do. The crew runs the stairs with dollies and straps, working the basement and any attic load as part of the hourly time. Tell the office it's a multi-level house so Darnell puts enough hands on it.
The same Flint crew is on your move start to finish — first carton loaded, last piece carried in and set down

Your Move Day, Step by Step

  1. 1

    Your written number, same day

Our part: Give us the room count, whether we are walking straight out or hauling up from a full basement, and how the street and driveway sit on your block — and before we shut the office for the night, a figure in writing is usually already in your inbox.

Your part: Come with both anchor dates — move-out and move-in — and any codes for the building, garage or gate; that is what tightens a ballpark into a firm price.

  2. 2

Access nailed down ahead of time

Our part: We line up driveway and street access, book the elevator window at a college-area building, clear whatever certificate of insurance a property manager keeps on file, and in winter get the walk shoveled and salted — so the truck parks at the door and nobody has to carry a dresser half a block.

Your part: Hand us your two anchor dates — the one you must be out and the one you can move in — and tell us which of them cannot move.

  3. 3

    Padded, wrapped, tagged, carried

Our part: Dressers and sofas disappear under moving blankets and a wrap of stretch film, and every bit of hardware pulled off a bed frame or table gets bagged, tagged and taped right to the piece it came from.

Your part: Label your own cartons with the room they belong in on the far end, and keep passports, keys and small valuables riding in your own car, not the truck.

  4. 4

Off the truck, one room at a time

Our part: Whoever loaded the truck is who unloads it — each piece set where you want it, bed frames bolted back together, and every scrap of used wrap and tape hauled back out with us.

Your part: Walk the emptied rooms alongside the crew chief before the truck pulls away, while anything needing a quick touch-up still can get it.

What will a Flint move run you?

Tell us your home size, the date you have in mind, and roughly what is coming with you, and the same day we send a written estimate straight to your inbox. Nothing is due up front and there is no deposit — just a figure solid enough to build the whole move around.

  • Fully licensed and insured — Michigan Public Service Commission (MPSC) household-goods authority covers our in-state jobs, and the moment a load crosses the Michigan line we run under US DOT and MC authority
  • What you sign off on is exactly what the crew bills to — the figure is counted room by room, never eyeballed from the curb
  • Every mover on the job is in our uniform, on our own W-2 payroll, behind the wheel of a truck we own
